Early Intervention Association

Early neuropaediatric care for every child in Austria.

We campaign for early neuropaediatric care for children in Austria.

How can we help you?

Who we are

For policy-makers, medicine, research, pharma and funders: the situation in Austria and our plan.

6.000

children in Austria with a movement disorder

200–250

children per year with cerebral palsy

75

childhood strokes per year

350–400

extremely premature babies per year

Therapy once a week is not enough.

Cerebral movement disorders cannot be cured, but they can be managed with early, intensive treatment. Between the ages of 0 and 3, the brain's neuroplasticity is particularly high. Yet in Austria, diagnosis often only happens between the first and second year of life.

Our goal

1

an interdisciplinary centre of excellence for timely diagnosis, treatment planning and intensive therapy

2× 3 weeks

of intensive therapy per year, from the 4th month of life, for measurable improvements up to the age of 3

up to 18

years of annual rehab with a health check

Why it is needed
